Fertilize Reminder

Monday, December 12, 2005

Just wanted to remind everyone to get out there and fertilize your perennials with a granual fertilizer... We recommend a 10-10-10 or 5-10-5. Remember all you have to do is to broadcast it on the ground over all your perennial beds and around small trees and shrubbery. It doesn't matter if the ground is frozen or if the there is snow on the ground at the time of application. As the ground freezes and thaws throughout the winter and spring, the fertilizer will get down to the roots and give them a big boost coming into the spring.

Your window to apply this fertilizer is from mid December to mid February and you only need to apply it once within this time frame.

Thanks to Al!
